yup.gr · a table for uninvited guests
Circe's Larder
Every few minutes something knocks on a door this site never had. It asks for an env file, or a login page for software I have never installed. Nobody typed those.
minotaur.exe watches the crawlers that follow links. This is where the ones that try the handles end up. Each door opens onto a shelf of plausible nonsense, and I write down who ate what.
What is recorded
A salted hash of where a knock came from, which door, and when. Not the address, not the browser, and nothing typed into a form beyond whether it was my password.
Every guest is given a name made of kitchen words, because an address is not a name and I would rather have something to call you.
Where to see it
The board is a window on the desktop at yup.gr, called circe.exe. The doors themselves are not listed here, because a door that is advertised is not a door anyone had to try.
